Hyphen has been working closely with a team at Lawrence Berkeley Labs to design and develop a range of portable devices for vaccine delivery in the developing world.
Hyphen has helped the team take the early technology-proving prototype designs and develop them into a package ready for field testing and production.
Mike Elam of Hyphen says, "The main focus, for us, was to keep the cost down and make the units as practical and robust as possible. It's really exciting to be working on such an important project, and to have lots of challenges to solve. I can't wait to see the units out in the field."
The first of the devices is currently undergoing in-house testing and tweaking before being submitted for WHO approval.
